Preparation Project
Over the course of the week, I've been looking through different websites based on the list that I was given. And so for that I looked at three different sources to discover any future developments that may be going on.
First off we have Geek.com
https://geek.com/
This is a technology news blog dedicated to sharing information about hardware, software and all kinds of different topics. It offers advice on what are the best computers that you can buy, along with the best peripherals, such as mice, cords or covers, as well as useful information on how to set up your computer layout. It doesn't just offer things about technology, as it also tells you the best tools for gardening, cooking or cycling. For a casual user, it could be a stepping stone to finding a new piece of kit.
Here are some examples of articles describing these details:

The next website I will talk about is Kickstarter
https://www.kickstarter.com/
This is a website featuring different projects that people can back (donate money so that the creator can develop the project further) and the creator can let their idea out to the world. It can be really helpful for people's inventions to go out there so that they can potentially fill a hole in the market. Not only do gadgets appear on Kickstarter, but also board games, movies, video games, books, etc. Users can even pledge a certain amount of money for additional tiers on projects. The only issue of course is that some people abuse the website to just get rich quick, or to scam you. But the people that use the website properly can potentially help the world with their inventions.
Here are some examples of technological projects that look interesting to me:

And for the other publication not on this list, but still felt it was fascinating to talk about is Hackster.io
https://www.hackster.io/
This is a website dedicated to community shared content related to programming and building hardware. This one is new to me but I figured it would be interesting for this blog post. People on this website share various pieces of technology that they have programmed themselves, and some even try to come up with solutions to issues. It can feel inspirational for people with some experience in coding to want to try out something like this for themselves, to create something like a portable console in your own room.
Here are a few examples of things people made on this site:
